adidas Presents New Collaboration With Manchester United and The Stone Roses

adidas has just unveiled a special edition collection with Manchester United Football Club and legendary Mancunian band, The Stone Roses.

The Stone Roses has been a key part of Manchester United’s DNA since the early 2000s. The Roses’ song, “This is The One,” has become synonymous with match days at the Theatre of Dreams, and is also the first song featured on the self-titled 1989 album, The Stone Roses. Now, the pair have come back together in physical form, unveiling a new apparel line that takes inspiration from The Roses’ iconic cover art.

A highlight from the collection comes in the form of the Icon Jersey, which combines the unmistakable backdrop of guitarist John Squire’s artwork with a timeless Originals look. A melange of other details is also drawn from the album cover, from the red, white and blue of the adidas The Stripe on the sleeve, to the gold lettering of “The Stone Roses” on the inside collar. The Manchester United crest is also reworked to feature the words “This is the One” on the lower segment and two lemon slices in place of footballs on either side.

Additionally, the collection’s lifestyle side features a black tracksuit and black shorts, both adorned with red, white and blue three stripes, while the adapted Manchester United badge is hit with the famous Stone Roses lemons. Meanwhile, a long-sleeve T-shirt, scarf and bucket hat complete the collection.

You can take a closer look at the new adidas x Manchester United x Stone Roses collection above and it’s available to shop via the official Manchester United webstore now.
