Players can get their followers to bring them resources in Cult of the Lamb, but there’s some risk to it.

Cult of the Lamb is all about organizing and running the perfect cult. Players will have to gather and manage resources as best as possible in order to properly feed all their followers, perform the required rituals, and upgrade their cult grounds. While at first gamers will have to do most of the heavy lifting, they can eventually run a pretty self-sustainable community with automated mechanisms, which will allow them to passively increase their resources.

How to Unlock Follower Missions

To send followers on missions in Cult of the Lamb, gamers will have to unlock the Missionary building, which only becomes available once gamers acquire the Cult II Divine Inspiration upgrade.

Even though the Missionary can only be built once, as gamers improve their cult by collecting more Devotion, they’ll be able to improve the Missionary building. Here are the Divine Inspiration upgrades players need to unlock each level of the Missionary building, as well as the resources required to construct them:

How to Send Followers on Missions

Players must interact with the Missionary building to send followers on missions in Cult of the Lamb. Before making a decision, players can check each follower’s success rates in order to decide who they’d like to send and which resource they will be collecting while they’re away. Followers will then be absent for one to three days.

Gamers should also upgrade the Missionary building to get access to more missions and in order to send more than one follower at once. Here are how many simultaneous missions gamers can select per upgrade and the different resources they’ll be able to collect:
