iQOO has scheduled two different launch events on August 31 in India and China. The Chinese OEM will announce the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G smartphone in India and the iQOO Z8 series smartphones in China. iQOO has been teasing the specifications of the upcoming smartphones through various teasers. Earlier today, iQOO revealed the battery specifications of the forthcoming iQOO Z8 smartphone.
The company recently confirmed the chipset details and design of the upcoming Z7 Pro 5G smartphone. iQOO also confirmed that the forthcoming device will launch in the Blue Lagoon colour option. The latest teaser confirms the display specifications and the other colour options of the upcoming smartphone.
iQOO has confirmed that the company will launch the forthcoming device in a Graphite Matte (Black) colour option. As the name suggests, the Graphite Matte variants offer a matte finish on the rear. In contrast, the Blue Lagoon variant provides a glossy finish on the back. iQOO previously confirmed that the upcoming device will feature a 3D curved AMOLED panel.

The latest teaser adds that iQOO will equip the smartphone with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display will have a peak brightness of 1300 nits, making it legible in sunny outdoor conditions. iQOO claims that the device will feature a 3D curved Super-Vision display. The renders shared by iQOO hint that the upcoming Z7 Pro 5G will feature thin bezels all around the display.
The previous teasers also confirmed that the device will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. The octa-core chipset is built on a 4nm process and sports two Cortex-A715 clocked at 2.8GHz, six Cortex-A510 cores at 2.0GHz, and a Mali-G610 MP4 GPU. The company also reveals that the device scored 7,28,764 points in the AnTuTu benchmarks. iQOO claims the score is much higher than MediaTek Dimensity 7050 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G.
iQOO also teases that the lower variant of the smartphone will be priced under Rs 25,000 in India. The company adds that iQOO used the 8GB + 256GB variant for testing in AnTuTu V10. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant will likely be priced under Rs 30,000.
The upcoming smartphone is expected to compete against the likes of the OnePlus Nord CE 3 and Realme 11 Pro series smartphones. A tipster previously revealed that the company will rebrand the Vivo S17e smartphone under the Z7 Pro 5G moniker. The upcoming smartphone will be equipped with dual rear cameras. iQOO will equip the primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).
