The Lenovo Legion Go launch date, price, and specifications have been revealed through a leaked PR of the device. Windows Report, the publication that leaked the exclusive images of the console, has obtained the confidential official document from a trusted source. According to the publication, the Legion Go Windows 11 handheld console will launch next week, priced at €799 (~Rs 72,000). Let’s take a look at all the details revealed by the latest Lenovo Legion Go leak.
Lenovo Legion Go Key Details Leaked
According to the latest leak, the Lenovo Legion Go will launch at IFA 2023 on September 1 and go on sale in October. The price of the device has been revealed to be ~Rs 72,000. However, the leaked specifications hint that the hefty price tag might be worth it. Starting with the display, the Lenovo Legion Go is tipped to flaunt a massive 8.8-inch IPS display with QHD+ screen resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 97% DCI-P3 support, and 500 nits of peak brightness.
As for the performance, the Windows 11 console will be powered by up to AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme with AMD RDNA GPU. The processor will be backed by 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 2242 storage, depending on the variant. The RAM is faster than that of the Steam Deck and ROG Ally. Even the top variant storage is double what the competitors offer.
The Steam Deck and ROG Ally are infamous for poor battery backup, and the Legion Go is in the same league with a 2-cell 49.2WHr for the console and a 900mAh battery each for the detachable controllers. However, the Legion Go supports Super Rapid Charge with 65W fast charging, which will juice up the console faster between sessions.
Speaking of controllers, the Switch-like joy cons feature a single touchpad on the right controller, shoulder triggers, a mouse wheel on the back of the right controller, and additional back triggers. The controllers also have HD haptics for excellent in-game feedback while gaming. Lenovo has equipped the console with two 2W speakers and dual-array near-field mics for audio.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, two USB Type-C 4.0 ports with PD 3.0, 3.5mm audio jack, and microSD card reader. There are also four large vents on top for what Lenovo calls whisper quiet fan and icy-cool thermals. Lenovo will also offer free three months of Legion Space Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership with the console.
Lenovo Legion AR Glasses and Legion E510 Leaked Details
The leaked press release obtained by Windows Report also contains details of the Legion AR Glasses and Legion E510 in-ear earphones with RGB. The former will be priced at ~Rs 45,000, whereas the latter will come with a price tag of ~Rs 4,500. Both devices will be made available to consumers in October.
According to the leak, the Lenovo Legion AR will feature a micro OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, 1,920 x 1,080 screen resolution per eye, and a prescription lens frame. As for the audio, the device will feature high-fidelity integrated speakers. The best part is that it has a USB Type-C cable that allows users to connect it to any device with DP Alt mode, not just the Legion Go console. It makes the Legion AR Glasses compatible with most Android, Windows, or macOS devices.
Lastly, the Lenovo Legion E510 is reported to be an in-ear RGB earphone with 10mm armature drivers and 7.1 surround sound support. It comes with an in-line controller that has an aesthetic RGB strip. The device is said to feature an omnidirectional mic, USB-C port, and 150cm cable length.
