Motorola has scheduled a new smartphone launch event in India. The company has announced that it will reveal the Moto G84 5G smartphone on September 1 in India. A tipster previously confirmed the upcoming device’s key specifications and launch timeline. Motorola also confirms the smartphone’s key specifications through a dedicated micro-site on Flipkart.
We at MySmartPrice previously spotted the smartphone in the FCC listing. The device was also spotted in the TDRA certification along with the Motorola Edge 40 Neo smartphone. Popular tipster Evan Blass, aka EV Leaks, previously shared the press renders of the smartphone. Another tipster, Yogesh Brar, has tipped the specifications and price range of the upcoming G84 5G smartphone.
The upcoming smartphone will be the successor to Moto G82 5G smartphone. Yogesh Brar reveals that Motorola will launch the smartphone between Rs 22,000 and Rs 24,000. Motorola has confirmed that the top-end variant of the smartphone will be equipped with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Lenovo-owned brand is also expected to launch the smartphone in a lower variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Motorola confirms the device will feature a 6.55-inch pOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display has a refresh rate of 120Hz, a peak brightness of 1300 nits, HDR10+ certification and a DCI-P3 colour gamut. Under the hood, the upcoming smartphone will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, built on a 6nm process. The octa-core chipset has two Kryo 660 Gold (Cortex-A78) clocked at 2.2GHz, six Kryo 660 Silver (Cortex-A55) cores at 1.8GHz and an Adreno 619 GPU.
Yogesh Brar reveals that the device will run on My UX based on Android 13. The device will also be eligible for one major Android update and three years of security updates. Motorola confirms that the device will be launched in Viva Magenta colour option. The company also adds that the forthcoming smartphone will be launched in Marshmallow Blue and Midnight Blue colour options.
Motorola adds that the device will have 14 5G bands and dual rear cameras. The dual rear camera setup will feature a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Motorola didn’t explicitly reveal the resolution of the selfie camera. However, tipster Yogesh Brar adds that the device will sport a 16MP selfie camera. Motorola confirms that the device will be backed by a 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charging tech. Yogesh Brar also adds that the device will feature an IP54 rating.
